Behind every grain we produce and export lies over a century of legacy—one that is both inherited and chosen.
OUR HISTORY

Our great-great-grandfather established a family agricultural tradition in Germany spanning over 120 years, which defines our current expertise and know-how.

The second generation of the family was forged in challenging environments. The spirit of resilience and continuous improvement born during this time characterizes our corporate culture to this day.

The family emigrated to Porto Alegre, bringing with them European agricultural expertise and a work ethic that defines our professional approach today.

At the age of seven, our orphaned great-great-grandmother arrived in Porto Alegre, laying the long-term agricultural foundations in the region.

The family relocated from Porto Alegre to Aratiba, RS, initiating farming operations in the fertile soils of southern Brazil.

Expansion into Palotina, Paraná, seeking increased production capacity and high-quality soils for intensive agriculture.

The family settled in Cruce Guaraní, Paraguay, laying the foundations for what is today Progresso NH.

The new generation assumed leadership, professionalizing the business and laying the groundwork for the current agro-export model.

A strategic focus on high-value crops: certified organic chia and sesame for demanding international markets. The family's spirit of innovation translates into quality differentiation.

Progresso NH consolidates its total vertical integration model: company-owned farmland, a state-of-the-art processing plant featuring artificial intelligence, and direct export to global markets. A strategic milestone that positions us as a benchmark supplier of certified organic chia and sesame.

We expanded our export capacity by entering new markets in the United States, Asia, and Europe. We scaled our organic sesame production, reaching over 80,000 commercialized tons, consolidating our position as a benchmark exporter from Paraguay.
